State of California Alzheimer's Uniform Database Collection	Collect demographics on patients who have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's	10 minutes	All patients
Depression in Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias	Observational study to explore the relationships between depression, activities of daily living, and executive function in patients with dementia	Initial battery of tests (2-4 hours) 3 phone calls repeatedly in 3 months	Alzheimer's patients with or without depression
Caregiver Perception of Change in Intimacy When a Spouse has Dementia	To study the impact of dementia on physical and emotional intimacy in the marital, or long term committed relationship.	Initial 1.5-2 hr interview and 15-20 minute phone call on a quarterly basis	Dementia patients in long term committed relationships
Autopsy	To study and identify genetics links and the role of genetic factors in all types of dementias. Alzheimer's disease is only confirmed through Autopsy.	None	All patients
Capacity to Consent. A collaborative of the 10 State ARCC Centers	To evaluate capacity for research consent in persons with dementia and to generate data that may modify practices and hypotheses for future studies.		All patients
